









MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Greetings! I joined the school on 5th June 2025. I would like to sincerely thank the parents, teachers, and students for the warm welcome extended to me. The smiles and handshakes of students during recess have been truly energizing moments for me. The valuable suggestions from parents and their keen interest in the further advancement of the school have been of great help. The cooperation and dedication of our teachers in the noble venture of moulding and shaping young lives are clearly visible and deeply appreciated.
As we come to the close of this academic year, our hearts rise in gratitude to the Almighty for His abundant blessings and protection. I am pleased to share that it has been a meaningful and enriching year for our students. Once again, I sincerely thank you for your constant cooperation, encouragement, and trust in the school. Your support plays a vital role in shaping the academic growth, character, and values of our students.
CBSE RESULTS
We proudly congratulate Mr. Kapish Kashyap, who secured 96% in the CBSE Class XII Examinations 2025, the highest score in the batch, and Ms. Taring Yami, who secured 92.6% in the CBSE Class X Examinations 2025, the highest score in her batch. Their remarkable achievement reflects their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We wish them continued success in their future endeavours.
FAREWELL TO FR. BENNY JAMES SDB
On 4th June 2025, Fr. Benny James, the Principal of St. Xavier’s School, was given a heartfelt farewell during the morning assembly. The programme was short yet meaningful. He was escorted to the stage by the school band along with Fr. Hilarius.
Although his tenure lasted hardly a year, Fr. Benny James significantly contributed to the development of the school. He was very systematic in his approach at every level and inspired many through his deep spirituality, wisdom, and practical leadership. The farewell speech delivered by Sir Jeeten was especially touching. The entire school community felt saddened at his departure.
WELCOME TO FR. P.G. JOSHUA SDB
On 5th June 2025, the entire school extended a warm and grand welcome to Fr. P.G. Joshua as the new Principal. He was escorted to the stage by Fr. Hilarius and the school band during the assembly. The programme was joyful and well organized.
FRESHERS’ DAY
On 16th June 2025, the students of Class XII organized Freshers’ Day to formally welcome the incoming Class XI students. The programme was lively and entertaining. Mr. Pura Kabing and Ms. Reri Adams Dulom were adjudged Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher. The day was truly memorable and helped the new students feel welcomed and comfortable in their new academic journey.
TRIBUTE TO ZUBEEN GARG
On 20th September 2025 at 9:00 a.m., the school organized a special programme to pay tribute to the legendary Assamese singer, Zubeen Garg. Teachers, students, and the Principal gathered to express their grief and honour his remarkable contribution to Assamese music.
The programme began with a floral tribute by the Rector, Fr. Hilarius, followed by speeches highlighting his achievements and the impact of his songs on society. A moving rendition of the famous song ‘Mayabini’ was performed by Jagrit Boruah (Class XII Science) as a mark of respect. The programme concluded with a two-minute silence, praying for the eternal peace of his soul. As a tribute, the school also displayed beautiful photographs and inspiring quotes of the artist on the school boundary wall.
ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
The Annual Sports Day was celebrated on 22nd November 2025. March-past practice began on 12th November, and the Cross-Country Race was held on 15th November 2025. The inauguration on 19th November was graced by Fr. John Pudussery as Chief Guest. The grand finale on 22nd November was honoured by the presence of Smti. Bishakha Deb (APS), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lakhimpur, and Adv. Raju Deuri. The event showcased discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
EXCURSION OF CLASS IX – YOUTH CARE PROGRAMME 2025
On the evening of 3rd December, 53 enthusiastic students of Class IX (22 boys and 31 girls) embarked on a transformative journey to Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, Guwahati, under the guidance of Sr. Promita, Miss Prastuti, Sir Amit, and Mr. Tony. The first two days were dedicated to the ‘Youth Care 2025’ programme at Saraighat Hall, combining learning and recreation.
On the final day, the group visited Accoland, where students enjoyed water slides, the wave pool (Queen’s Bay), and thrilling rides like the Columbia Pendulum and the Long Flume. Before returning to Harmutty, the group visited the Zubeen Garg Memorial to pay their respects, concluding the trip with pride and inspiration.
EXCURSION OF CLASS XI
The educational excursion to Darjeeling and Sikkim commenced on 20th December 2025 with 59 students, 4 teachers, and a tour guide. The journey aimed to provide adventure and enhance understanding of geography, culture, and the Himalayan ecosystem.
Highlights included witnessing the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill, visiting Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Banjhakri Falls, Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake, Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple, and Ganesh Tok Viewpoint. The trip concluded on 26th December, leaving students with cherished memories.
CBSE Capacity Building Programme
On 5th January 2026, the school organized CBSE Capacity Building Programme. The resource person was Mr. Tapan Saikia from Army School, Jorhat. The attendees were mainly from our school and Asian Public School. The programme was highly informative and focused primarily on the key aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023. Detailed discussions were held regarding the vision, objectives, and structural differences between NEP 2020 and NCF 2023. The resource persons clearly explained how NCF 2023 translates the vision of NEP 2020 into classroom practices and curriculum design.
NATIONAL YOUTH DAY
We congratulate the following students who took part in different competitions organized by Ramkrishna Seva Kendra on the occasion of National Youth Day on 12th January, 2026 under the guidance of Mrs. Usha and Mrs. Neeluxy:

JOINT TEACHERS’ TRAINING PROGRAMME
On 22nd January 2026, the school hosted teachers’ training programme for four schools: St. Xavier’s, DBS Lakhimpur, Holy Cross Laluk and Pallottine School, Kadam. The resource person was Mr. Joseph Laldinmawia from Collins Publishing House. The session was highly productive, interactive, and enriching. Mr. Joseph proved to be a fantastic and creative resource person. His engaging presentation style and practical examples helped us understand various aspects of effective teaching and classroom management.
Furthermore, Mr. Joseph discussed the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, elaborating on its goals, vision, and motto. He explained its emphasis on improved pedagogy, meaningful assignments, competency-based learning, and policy development aligned with the broader objectives of NEP 2020.
PARTING SOCIAL
On 7th February, 2026, class XII students were given farewell by class XI students. The programme was filled with lively dances, melodious songs and meaningful addresses. There were surprises as many hidden talents came alive on that day.
GRADUATION DAY FOR CLASS BALVATIKA 3 (UKG)
On 14th February, 2026, we had a very colourful graduation ceremony for our students of class Balvatika 3 (UKG). Students had finished their kindergarten course and they move to main building of the school. The presence of parents of our students made the event a grand success. Parent representative – Mr. Bahadur Chetry applauded our teachers for laying the foundation in such challenging time. Certificates were presented to each one of them by Fr. Hilarius Ekka (rector), Fr. P.G. Joshua (principal), Sr. Regina Bosco (VP) and Fr. Theophilus Ganlari (Asst. PP).
SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME TO JOIN ARMED FORCES
On 24th February 2026, a sensitization programme to join the Armed Forces was held in our school. One Army Lt. Col. Praddip A.D. and Lt. Suraj, along with a few other guests, came to our school. They delivered a very motivational speech to inspire students to join the Army, Navy, and Air Force. They showed a presentation on the projector explaining how to join the Armed Forces, including eligibility, selection process, and training. They also spoke about the disciplined life, career growth, and settlement benefits after serving in the Armed Forces. The programme was very informative and encouraged many students to serve the nation with pride.
IMPORTANT NOTICES & NEW ACADEMIC SESSION 2026–27
TRANSFER CERTIFICATES:
Those desiring to change school has to submit the application for TC on or before 16th March, 2026. An amount of Rs 200/- is charged for TC applied on time. After 16th March, 2026, an amount of Rs 500/- will be taken for issuance of TC.
School Fees Structure
- The school fees for the academic year will be Rs 800/- per month remains the same.
- The annual fee remains Rs 4500/- for classes UKG to X. During re-admission time, Rs 100 for the student’s diary has to be paid at the fee counter. Previous year, it was paid at the book counter.
- A computer fee of Rs 750/- per annum applies to students from classes IV to X.
- Smart Classroom fee of Rs 700/- has to be paid before the final exams and not during sale of books.
- The Re-admission fee for class XII remains Rs 12000/- as per the previous session. During re-admission time, Rs 100 for the student’s diary has to be paid at the fee counter. Previous year, it was paid at the book counter.
- The instalment system for class XII will remain unchanged.
RESULTS OF THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2025-26 & RESERVATION OF SEAT FOR 2026-27:
Kindly take note of this important information regarding the results of the current academic session and the reservation of seat for the upcoming session (2026-27):
Final Examination Results:
- Class Balvatika 2 to 3 (LKG & UKG) and classes I to III: The final examination results will be distributed on 24th March (Tuesday) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Reservation of seat for the academic year 2026-27 will take place thereafter, with a fee of Rs 800/- (April month’s fee).
- Class IV to class IX and class XI: The final examination results will be distributed on 25th March 2026 (Wednesday) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Reservation of seat for the academic year 2026-27 will take place thereafter, with a fee of Rs 800/-(April month’s fee).
School Office Closure:
- The school office will remain closed from 28th March to 16th April, 2026 (Thursday).
Admissions & Textbook Guidelines:
New Admission for classes II and below have been going on since 20th January, 2026. Admissions to those classes will stop once the required number is filled up. Enquiry for admission for classes III and above can be made through phone call to this reception number: +91 91815 33805 from 17th March to 25th March, 2027.
- All students are required to purchase new textbooks and notebooks as per the book list followed in the school.
- To maintain uniformity, the school will provide specially designed notebooks, and no other notebooks will be permitted.
Important instruction:
- Students must be accompanied by their parents or guardians to collect their results. The original admit card must be present to the class teacher in order to receive the results.
- It is mandatory to do the reservation of seat for the new academic year 2026-‘27 by payment of Rs 800/- for April’s month. As reservation of seat has to be done with the class teacher, parents are to come ready with cash of Rs 800/-

NEW SCHOLASTIC YEAR 2026-27:
- Class Balvatika 1 & 2 (Nursery & LKG) will have Initiation Programme on 22nd April, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Parents are requested to be present for the programme and take home their kids after the programme.
- Classes will commence on April 28, 2026.. Class Balvatika 3 (UKG) to Class XII will attend the school. On the first day, students of classes Balvatika 1 to 3 (Nursery to UKG) will have class only upto 9:30 a.m., classes I to III upto 9:45 a.m. and classes IV and above upto 10:00 a.m.
Please take note of point 5 of page 26 of the student’s handbook (2026-27): “All students must return to school on the reopening day after holidays. Failure to comply without prior written permission will be treated as a disciplinary issue and will incur a fine of Rs. 100.00 on the re-opening day and Rs 50/- on subsequent days of absence.”
