Harmutty, May 8, 2025 — The students of St. Xavier’s School, Harmutty, made the school proud by securing both First and Third Prizes at the District-Level Quiz Competition organized by Harmoti Ancholik Yuwa Sangha as part of the 35th Kendriya Bohagi Biday Sanmilan.
The competition began at 12:45 PM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 21 teams representing various schools and colleges across Lakhimpur District. The event was open to students from Class 8 to postgraduate level, with each team comprising three members.
The quiz was conducted in two rounds—a Preliminary Round followed by the Final Round. Out of the 21 participating teams, 11 teams qualified for the final round. The quiz covered a wide range of topics including:
- Current Affairs
- Cultural Heritage
- Literature
- Science and Arts
- Sports
- General Knowledge
The prizes for the winners were:
- First Prize: ₹6000, a book for each member, and certificates
- Second Prize: ₹4000, a book for each member, and certificates
- Third Prize: ₹2000, a book for each member, and certificates
St. Xavier’s School fielded three teams, two of which earned top honours:

- Dibyanshu Bhuyan (Class 12 Science)

- Hirannmoyee Gogoi (Class 12 Science)
Fr Benny James SDB, Principal of St. Xavier’s School, Harmutty, congratulated the students for their outstanding achievement and commended them for their hard work, team spirit, and intellectual excellence.
