Harmutty, 08 March 2025 – In an effort to standardize the school towards digital transformation, Rt Rev Michael Akasius DD, Bishop of Tezpur, officially inaugurated the website of St Xavier’s School, Harmutty. The event, coinciding with International Women’s Day, marked a new milestone in the school’s journey toward modernization and accessibility.
The inauguration was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Fr Hilarius Ekka SDB, Rector of Don Bosco; Fr PD Jacob SDB, Assistant Parish Priest; Fr Benny James SDB, Principal of St Xavier’s School, Harmutty; and Fr Sushil Soren, Parish Priest of Dholaibil Parish.
The launch of the school website follows months of meticulous planning and execution. Despite multiple attempts by various agencies to develop the platform, success remained elusive. However, under the leadership and perseverance of Fr Benny James SDB, the new website has now come to life. His expertise in managing and developing websites for the province and other institutions has been instrumental in making this vision a reality.
The newly launched website, www.stxaviersschoolharmutty.org, serves as a comprehensive digital gateway to the school. It offers detailed information about admissions, school syllabus, faculty, academic and co-scholastic activities, as well as updates on various events. St Xavier’s School, affiliated with CBSE (Affiliation No. 230010), has earned a reputation as the best educational institution in the district, attracting students from Assam and neighboring Arunachal Pradesh.
Though the website remains a work in progress, essential features have already been implemented to ensure a seamless experience for students, parents, and staff. The school extends heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed behind the scenes to bring this initiative to fruition.
With the launch of this digital platform, St Xavier’s School, Harmutty, reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and innovation in education.
